Role Description The Appraisal Partner is a full time, on-site role based in the Pune Division. This role is responsible for assessing and appraising customers’ gold assets to support accurate and fair loan decisions, following Oro’s guidelines and compliance standards. Day-to-day tasks include inspecting gold items, verifying authenticity and quality, documenting appraisal details, and collaborating with branch teams and financial partners to finalize loan amounts and terms.

Partner will interact with customers, explain appraisal results clearly,



and ensure a transparent and respectful experience. The role also involves maintaining records, adhering to safety and security protocols, and providing feedback to improve appraisal processes and customer service.

Qualifications

- Strong expertise in gold appraisal, including assessment of purity, weight, and market value.
- Knowledge of gold-loan products, retail banking or NBFC operations, and basic financial concepts.
- Customer service and communication skills to explain appraisal outcomes and loan terms clearly and professionally.
- Attention to detail, integrity, and ability to follow risk, safety, and compliance procedures consistently.
- Basic computer literacy for data entry, recordkeeping, and use of appraisal or branch-management software.
- Prior experience in gold appraisal, jewelry evaluation, pawnbroking, or related financial services is highly beneficial.
- Ability to work on-site in the Pune Division, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and manage time effectively.
- Relevant certification or training in jewelry/gold appraisal or a related field is a plus; a minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
