Sarvoham Welfare Trust
J. P. Nagar
Note: This role is intended for professionals who are seeking to build a long-term career in the non-profit, animal welfare and animal rights sector, not those looking for a temporary transition from corporate.
A genuine passion for animal rights and alignment with our mission are essential for success in this role. Candidates who do not have a sincere interest in animal rights, social impact and purpose-driven work are encouraged NOT to apply, as mission alignment will be a key consideration throughout the selection process.
ABOUT SARVOHAM:
Sarvoham Welfare Trust is a charitable organisation dedicated to the welfare of under-privileged animals in Bengaluru, India. Sarvoham was established in April 2017 by co-founders Haris Ali and Madhusmita Sahu, with a vision to create an inclusive ecosystem that co-exists with animals, providing them a respectable life that contributes to the Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) frameworks and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) for the planet.
Over the past nine years, Sarvoham has grown from a small charity effort into a well-established animal welfare organisation. We have rescued more than 3,500 street animals and provide shelter for more than 200 dogs.
Sarvoham means the harmony between all elements of nature, both human and non-human, and the organisation is guided by the spirit of harmonious coexistence.
WHAT GUIDES US:
Compassion: For every animal, of every species and for one another.
Dignity: Every life deserves respect and freedom from cruelty.
Coexistence: Harmony between all beings, human and non-human.
Accountability: High standards, owned without losing our humanity.
Integrity: Honesty and confidentiality, always.
Leading by example: We never ask others to do what we would not do ourselves.
ROLE PURPOSE:
Sarvoham Welfare Trust stands at a defining moment in its journey to create a more compassionate world for animals. It seeks to expand its impact by building a sustainable ecosystem of partnerships and philanthropy that will enable many more lives to be saved and transformed.
We are looking for an experienced, compassionate and organised Animal Rescue Storyteller & Video Editor who can capture the daily life, rescues, treatments, recoveries, adoptions and behind-the-scenes work at Sarvoham. You will be responsible for producing high-quality videos for fundraising campaigns, social media, YouTube, donor communications, educational content, recruitment and documentary-style storytelling.
This is not just another videography job – you will help tell the stories of animals who have no voice.
WHY THIS ROLE EXISTS:
- Turning animal rescue stories into a movement: Every animal Sarvoham rescues carries a story with real emotional weight. How that story is told publicly directly influences donor trust, volunteer interest and adoption outcomes.
- Opening doors for Sarvoham’s institutional and CSR partnerships: Powerful film is what draws schools, colleges and corporates in. Those partnerships create long-term funding, volunteering and awareness pipelines that a single rescue effort cannot build alone.
- Being the public face of the mission: For many donors, adopters and volunteers, a Sarvoham video is their first encounter with us. Each one is a chance to build trust or lose it, and this role ensures every film reflects Sarvoham’s compassion and credibility.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
Video Production:
- Capture animal rescue operations, medical treatments, rehabilitation journeys, and before-and-after recovery stories.
- Film adoption success stories, volunteer activities and the daily life of the shelter.
- Cover events, awareness campaigns, fundraising initiatives, CSR visits and educational programmes.
- Record interviews with veterinarians, founders, staff, volunteers, adopters and donors to create compelling visual stories.
Storytelling:
- Transform everyday animal rescue and rehabilitation moments into emotional, impactful stories.
- Create content that inspires people to donate, adopt, volunteer, foster and support Sarvoham’s mission.
- Produce advocacy videos that promote compassion for animals, veganism and animal rights.
- Develop authentic storytelling that builds awareness and strengthens public engagement.
Video Editing:
- Produce high-quality videos for Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, LinkedIn, the website, fundraising campaigns and email marketing.
- Perform end-to-end post-production, including colour correction, sound design, motion graphics, subtitles and background music.
- Design engaging thumbnails and logo animations, and optimise videos for different aspect ratios and platforms.
- Ensure all video content meets Sarvoham’s branding, storytelling and quality standards.
Content Planning:
- Collaborate with the leadership team to plan and execute weekly video shoots and campaigns.
- Maintain a structured content calendar to ensure consistent content production.
- Brainstorm creative storytelling concepts and campaign ideas aligned with organisational goals.
- Research and recommend trending content formats and best practice for digital platforms.
Equipment Management:
- Maintain, operate and care for cameras, lenses, lighting equipment, microphones, drones and other production gear.
- Manage memory cards, batteries, accessories and equipment inventory.
- Ensure all equipment is properly cleaned, charged, stored and ready for use.
- Coordinate routine maintenance, repairs and replacements to minimise downtime.
Media Management:
- Organise, label and archive all raw footage and completed video projects.
- Maintain a structured digital asset library for quick retrieval and future use.
- Ensure secure local and cloud backups of all media files.
- Implement consistent file-naming and storage practices to support efficient collaboration.
Live Coverage:
- Provide video coverage of animal rescue operations, rehabilitation journeys and daily shelter activities.
- Capture awareness campaigns, fundraising events, CSR visits, volunteer programmes and educational workshops.
- Travel locally when required to document animal rescues and organisational events.
WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE:
- Number of videos produced per month
- Timely delivery of content
- Video quality and storytelling standards
- Social media engagement on video content
- Fundraising campaign performance
- Video views and watch time
- Audience retention
- Growth in followers and subscribers
