We are looking for a hands-on AI/ML Lead with a strong Machine Learning Engineering (MLE) background. The ideal candidate will combine deep technical expertise with leadership capabilities and will remain actively involved in design, development, problem-solving, and delivery.
This is not a purely managerial role. The candidate will be expected to contribute technically, work on Jira stories/tickets, and lead the AI/ML team through hands-on technical guidance.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor the AI/ML engineering team while remaining an active technical contributor.
- Actively participate in hands-on development, coding, solution design, and technical delivery.
- Own and deliver Jira stories/tickets as part of Agile development cycles.
- Design, develop, test, and support Machine Learning solutions.
- Provide technical leadership across ML architecture, development, deployment, troubleshooting, and code reviews.
- Guide engineers in solving complex AI/ML and engineering problems.
- Collaborate with business, product, engineering,
and other stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Communicate technical concepts clearly and confidently to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ensure quality and timely delivery of AI/ML solutions.
Required Skills
- Solid experience in Machine Learning / Artificial Intelligence
- Strong Machine Learning Engineering (MLE) background
- Hands-on programming experience, preferably Python
- Experience in ML model development and deployment
- Strong understanding of the end-to-end ML development lifecycle
- Technical leadership and team mentoring experience
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments and Jira
- Strong solution design and problem-solving capabilities
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- Ability to balance hands-on technical contribution with leadership responsibilities
Preferred Skills Experience with some of the following would be an advantage:
- PyTorch / TensorFlow / Scikit-learn
- MLOps / MLflow
- REST APIs / FastAPI
- Docker / Kubernetes
- CI/CD
- AWS / Azure / GCP
- Production ML deployment and monitoring
