About the opportunity

Opvia is hiring an AI Automation Specialist to work closely with a UK-based consumer brand.

You will build practical AI-powered tools, agents and automations that help teams work more efficiently. Working across commercial, marketing, customer experience, finance and operations, you will turn business requirements into reliable solutions using modern AI technologies. This is a hands-on prospect for someone who enjoys building with LLMs, integrating AI with business systems and deploying tools that people use every day.

What you will do

- Build and deploy AI-powered tools, agents and workflow automations using Claude Code, Python and n8n.
- Develop multi-step AI agents using LangGraph, Claude Agent SDK or similar frameworks.
- Build RAG systems that retrieve information from internal documents, knowledge bases and business data.
- Create MCP integrations connecting AI assistants with external tools, APIs and data sources.
- Use LLM APIs for classification, summarisation, structured outputs and automated analysis.
- Write SQL queries and prepare datasets to support AI applications and reporting.
- Integrate workflows with ecommerce, CRM, marketing and collaboration platforms.
- Monitor AI tools, implement error handling and validate outputs for accuracy and reliability.
- Maintain code in GitHub, document solutions and support adoption across business teams.
- Work directly with stakeholders to identify automation opportunities and deliver solutions from concept to production.





What we are looking for

- 2-4 years of hands-on experience in AI automation, software engineering, data engineering or similar roles.
- Practical experience using Claude Code to build and deploy working tools or applications.
- Hands-on MCP experience, including connecting AI assistants to external systems and data.
- Experience building AI agents using LangGraph, Claude Agent SDK or comparable frameworks.
- Experience developing RAG systems using embeddings, document retrieval and vector search.
- Familiarity with LLM APIs such as Anthropic Claude or OpenAI.
- Working knowledge of SQL and experience preparing data for applications or reporting.
- Understanding of REST APIs, JSON, webhooks and workflow integrations.
- Experience delivering production automations or AI tools used by real teams.
- Strong problem-solving skills, clear English communication and the ability to work independently.
- Availability for at least four hours of daily overlap with UK business hours.

Good to have

- Strong Python skills and experience with n8n, Make or Zapier.
- Experience building custom MCP servers, Claude skills or AI plugins.
- Familiarity with vector databases such as Pinecone, pgvector or Vertex AI Search.
- Experience with Google Cloud, Cloud Run, BigQuery, Snowflake or Docker.
- Knowledge of Shopify, Klaviyo, Meta Ads or other ecommerce and marketing integrations.
- Experience with GitHub, automated testing, cloud deployment or basic front-end development.
