Role Description The Accountant – Textile role at Prepster is a full-time, on-site position based in Coimbatore. The role involves overseeing day-to-day accounting operations related to textile manufacturing and SchoolWear production, including recording transactions, managing ledgers, and reconciling accounts. The accountant will monitor inventory costs, track purchase orders and fabric consumption, support budgeting and cost analysis, and prepare financial reports for management.

Responsibilities also include ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and tax regulations,



coordinating with internal teams and vendors, and supporting audits and process improvements to strengthen financial controls.

Qualifications

- Strong core accounting skills, including general ledger management, account reconciliation, and financial reporting.
- Experience with cost accounting and inventory control in a textile, apparel, or manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency with accounting software and spreadsheets (e.g., Tally, ERP systems, Excel) and comfort working with data.
- Knowledge of Indian tax regulations, compliance requirements, and basic statutory reporting.
- Attention to detail, accuracy in numerical work, and strong organizational and time-management abilities.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with production, procurement, and management teams.
- Ability to work on-site in Coimbatore, handle deadlines, and adapt to a energetic, growth-oriented environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field; prior experience in textile or apparel accounting is an advantage.
