Key Responsibilities

1. Daily Plant Accounting & Bookkeeping

- Record and verify daily manufacturing and plant transactions in accounting software (e.g., Tally Prime / SAP / ERP).
- Maintain daily general ledger entries, cash flow, and petty cash operations for plant expenses.
- Prepare daily/weekly plant financial reports, cost breakdowns, and production yield cost reports.

1. Procurement, Mandi & Vendor Billing

- Manage accounts payable for raw material procurement (livestock/buffalo procurement), packaging materials, consumables, and cold chain logistics.
- Cross-check weight slips, gate entries (GRN), veterinary inspection documentation, and purchase invoices against purchase orders.
- Reconcile farmer, trader, and third-party vendor ledgers on a weekly/monthly basis.

1. Inventory & Cost Accounting

- Work closely with plant stores and cold storage managers to monitor raw material, work-in-progress (WIP), carcass yield, and frozen finished goods inventories.
- Conduct regular physical stock audits and reconcile differences between ERP and physical warehouse counts.
- Track plant overheads, utility costs (refrigeration/power), labor, and packaging expenditures to calculate unit processing costs.

1. Compliance & Taxation

- Ensure strict adherence to statutory tax compliance, including timely TDS deductions, GST input/output reconciliations, and e-Way bill generation.




- Prepare relevant documentation for internal and external plant audits.
- Coordinate with head office/corporate finance regarding periodic closings, MIS reports, and working capital needs.

Candidate Requirements & Qualifications
- Education: Bachelors or Master’s degree in Commerce (B.Com / M.Com), Inter CA, or equivalent.
- Experience: 3 to 7 years of hands-on accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing plant, meat processing, slaughterhouse, food/FMCG, cold storage, or agro-processing unit.
- Software Proficiency: Strong working knowledge of Tally Prime, SAP FICO (or equivalent ERP), and advanced Microsoft Excel (Pivot tables, VLOOKUP, cost models).

- Location/Environment Requirements:
- Factory In office: Must be completely comfortable working directly at a buffalo meat processing plant/abattoir environment.
- Relocation: Willingness to relocate to the factory site/nearby city in North India (accommodation/allowance provided as per company policy).

Key Skills & Competencies
- Sound understanding of factory cost accounting and yield-to-cost calculations.
- High integrity, accuracy, and attention to detail.
- Ability to coordinate across plant operations, storekeeping, procurement, and corporate finance teams.
- Working knowledge of local language/Hindi for effective communication with local plant staff and vendors.
