Role Description The Anesthesiologist role at MediVaah is a full-time, on-site position based in Bengaluru. The Anesthesiologist will evaluate patients before procedures, develop anesthesia plans, and administer appropriate anesthesia for surgical and diagnostic interventions. Daily responsibilities include monitoring patients’ vital signs, adjusting anesthesia levels, managing pain before, during, and after procedures, and ensuring safe recovery from anesthesia. The role involves close collaboration with surgeons, nursing staff, and other clinicians to optimize patient safety and outcomes, including participation in preoperative assessments and postoperative care planning.
The Anesthesiologist will also contribute to clinical decision-making in critical situations and maintain accurate, timely documentation in line with clinical and regulatory standards.
Qualifications
- Solid expertise in anesthesiology and medicine, with the ability to manage anesthesia across a range of procedures.
- Experience working alongside surgery teams, supporting perioperative care and responding to intraoperative clinical needs.
- Skills in pain management, including acute and postoperative pain control, and familiarity with multimodal pain strategies.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with critical care nursing and other clinical staff in high-acuity and emergency situations.
- Recognized medical degree (MBBS) and completed specialization in Anesthesiology (MD/DNB or equivalent), with valid registration from the appropriate medical council.
- Demonstrated commitment to patient safety, evidence-based practice, and ethical standards of care.
- Strong clinical judgment, clear communication skills, and the ability to work in a multidisciplinary team environment.
- Prior experience in operating rooms, intensive care, or high-volume hospital settings is highly beneficial.
