As an SDE-3 Frontend Engineer specializing in React Native, you will serve as the hands-on engineering anchor for our mobile client platforms. We are not looking for a surface-level 'UI developer'; we are looking for a deep-dive Mobile Engineer who masters the interaction between a mobile device's local database and the cloud —specifically in healthcare and SaaS workflows where doctors and clinics operate in low-connectivity or completely offline clinical environments. You will personally build and own core modules end-to-end: designing robust offline synchronization engines, writing performant React Native code, bridging native iOS/Android modules where needed, and ensuring smooth, 60-FPS rendering even when processing large volumes of patient records.
React Native Core Mastery: 6 to 8 years of total hands-on software development experience, with deep, specialized expertise in building and deploying production-grade React Native applications.
Offline-First Data Architecture: Must have built complex local-first mobile applications using SQLite, WatermelonDB, or Realm . If your apps only function by calling REST APIs on every single screen, this role is not for you.
While this is a React Native role, you must be comfortable reading, debugging, and writing basic native code in Swift / Objective-C (iOS) and Java / Kotlin (Android) to construct custom Native Modules when RN bridges fall short (e.g., Performance Optimization with Heavy Data: Proven track record of virtualizing and rendering large datasets (10,000+ local records, prescriptions, and patient files) without dropping frames or freezing the JavaScript thread. You take complete ownership of features from local development through App Store and Google Play Store production release.
Web Frontend Skills:
Working exposure or proficiency in React.js for web applications.
Prior experience mentoring junior engineers or conducting formal code reviews (leadership is a value-add, but the primary mandate is hands-on development).
Offline-First Mobile Engineering
Design and implement client-side local caching and synchronization algorithms that keep doctor and clinic workflows operational without internet connectivity.
Implement bidirectional delta-synchronization logic and automated conflict resolution between local SQLite/WatermelonDB stores and central backend APIs.
Architect state management systems that maintain predictable data integrity across complex offline-to-online transitions.
Performance, Native Bridges & Device Integration
Build custom native bridges in Java/Kotlin and Swift for specialized background threads, hardware peripherals, and push notification architectures.
Continuously profile mobile performance, optimizing bridge traffic, bundle size, startup time, and UI thread responsiveness.
Security, Quality & Release Operations
Secure local health data at rest using SQLCipher and platform-native keystores/keychains to ensure strict compliance.
Write robust unit tests, component tests, and integration tests to ensure rock-solid production stability.
Partner with DevOps to maintain automated mobile build and release pipelines (Fastlane, CI/CD, Gradle, Xcode) for Google Play Console and Apple App Store deployments.
Collaborate closely with SDE-3 Backend engineers, Product Managers, and UI/UX designers to translate complex clinical user journeys into intuitive, reliable mobile interfaces.
Actively contribute to architecture discussions, code reviews, and engineering best practices across the frontend and mobility stack
