1. Job PurposeTo support the Costing Department in preparing product cost estimates, analysing manufacturing costs, calculating material consumption and assisting in quotation preparation for stainless steel products, sheet metal fabrication and industrial kitchen equipment.

1. 2. Key Roles & ResponsibilitiesAssist in preparing product costing and cost estimation for various stainless steel products.
2. Study engineering drawings, technical specifications and Bill of Materials (BOM).
3. Calculate raw material requirements, sheet metal consumption and material wastage.
4. Assist in calculating material, labour, machine and manufacturing costs.
5. Understand sheet metal fabrication processes such as cutting, bending, welding, grinding, polishing and assembly.
6. Collect and analyse raw material prices and maintain updated material cost records.
7. Assist in preparing cost sheets and quotation details for new and existing products.
8. Coordinate with Production, Purchase, Design and Sales Departments to collect costing-related information.
9. Maintain costing reports, Excel sheets and other departmental records.
10. Support the preparation of comparative costing reports and cost-reduction analysis.

Verify actual production costs against estimated costs and identify variations.
12. Perform other costing-related activities assigned by the Department Head.

- 3. Required Technical SkillsBasic knowledge of Mechanical Engineering and manufacturing processes.
- Basic understanding of Sheet Metal and Fabrication.
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
- Basic knowledge of MS Excel and MS Office.
- Understanding of BOM and material specifications.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD / SolidWorks will be an added advantage.
