The Lab Technician Helper supports the Lab Technician and QA/QC Engineers in conducting field and laboratory tests for road and infrastructure projects. The role involves assisting in material testing, sample preparation, equipment handling, record maintenance, and ensuring compliance with project quality standards.

Key Responsibilities 1. Sample Collection & Preparation

- Assist in collection of soil, aggregates, sand, bitumen, WMM, DBM, BC, and concrete samples from site.
- Prepare and label samples for testing as per standard procedures.
- Transport samples safely from site to laboratory.

1. Laboratory Testing Support

- Assist in conducting Soil tests
- Arrange testing apparatus before tests and clean equipment after use.
- Maintain curing tanks and specimen storage areas.

- Equipment & Maintenance

- Maintain laboratory tools and testing equipment in working condition.
- Assist in calibration preparation of equipment.
- Ensure cleanliness and proper housekeeping of the lab area.

- Documentation & Records

- Maintain test registers and daily testing logs.
- Assist in recording test observations and results.




- File and organize test reports properly.

Required Qualifications

- 10th / 12th Pass (Science preferred) or ITI.
- 1-3 years of experience in construction material testing laboratory (preferred).
- Freshers may be considered for junior-level roles.

Required Skills :

- Basic knowledge of construction materials and testing procedures.
- Ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Physical fitness for handling materials and equipment.
- Basic record-keeping ability.
- Team coordination skills.

Preferred Experience

- Experience in Highway / Expressway / EPC road projects.
- Familiarity with site lab setup for NHAI or State PWD works.
- Understanding of pavement layer testing (GSB, WMM, DBM, BC, PQC).
