Gurugram

You will own and lead the entire IT infrastructure and operations function at NMG Technologies. This is a hands-on leadership role—not a strategy-only position. You will be expected to understand every team member’s daily, weekly, and monthly tasks in enough depth to substitute for anyone, make autonomous decisions on the ground, and systematically raise the maturity of our IT systems from reactive to proactive.

You will manage a team of 4 (Linux Admin, Windows Admin, DevOps Engineer, and IT Support Executive) and take end-to-end responsibility for server uptime, network health, CI/CD pipeline reliability, cloud cost optimization, physical security systems, vendor relationships, and help desk performance for 150+ employees.

What You Will Own

Team Leadership & People Management

- Lead, mentor, and hold accountable a team of 4 IT professionals across Linux, Windows, DevOps, and support functions
- Conduct structured 6-monthly performance reviews and annual appraisals with measurable goals for each team member
- Ensure cross-training and backup coverage—every critical function must have a trained backup at all times
- Dedicate weekly review sessions with each team member to verify work practically, not just on paper
- Serve as the single point of accountability for the IT department to senior management

Infrastructure & Server Management

- Manage Linux servers (Ubuntu, CentOS, RHEL) and Windows Server environments (Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy)
- Administer AWS and Azure cloud infrastructure—EC2, S3, RDS, VPCs, IAM, and cost optimization
- Maintain 99.9%+ uptime for all production servers and critical internal systems
- Own disaster recovery planning, execute quarterly DR drills, and ensure backup integrity across all environments
- Manage SSL certificates, domain renewals,

and DNS configurations across all company domains

CI/CD & DevOps Oversight

- Oversee CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI, or equivalent) serving 10+ active development projects
- Directly manage the DevOps engineer responsible for build automation, deployment pipelines, and compatibility testing across platforms
- Ensure pipeline reliability through self-healing mechanisms, automatic retry, alerting, and rollback capabilities
- Manage Git repository access, enforce branching strategies, and maintain deployment workflows

Network, Security & Physical Infrastructure

- Manage LAN/WAN networking, Wi-Fi, firewall rules, and VPN for a multi-floor office
- Oversee physical security: CCTV surveillance, biometric access control, UPS and power management
- Maintain phone/EPABX systems and ensure communication infrastructure reliability
- Enforce IT security policies: endpoint protection, access controls, data backup, and incident response

Help Desk & End-User Support

- Own the IT help desk function serving 150+ employees—manage ticket volume, SLAs, and resolution quality
- Analyse closed tickets for recurring patterns and implement root-cause fixes to drive ticket volume down
- Build self-service solutions: password reset portals, automated access provisioning, and a knowledge base
- Track and report weekly IT metrics: open/closed tickets, SLA adherence, recurring issues, and hardware health

Vendor,

Procurement & Budget Management

- Manage relationships with ISPs, hardware vendors, software license providers, and AMC contractors
- Handle IT procurement end-to-end: laptops, peripherals, networking equipment, servers, and software licenses
- Negotiate contracts, track warranty and AMC expiry dates, and ensure timely renewals

Reporting & Process Excellence

- Deliver structured weekly IT reports to management covering all operational areas with clear dashboards
- Ensure all work is documented, visible in the company’s project management system, and follows defined SOPs
- Implement and maintain standard operating procedures for every recurring IT operation

Automation & Continuous Improvement

- Identify and implement automation opportunities to eliminate manual work and reduce reactive ticket volume
- Deploy and manage monitoring tools (Site24x7, Nagios, or equivalent) for proactive alerting and predictive maintenance
- Stay current with infrastructure best practices and recommend technology upgrades where they deliver measurable value

What You Bring

Must-Have (Non-Negotiable)

- 10-15 years of experience in IT infrastructure management, with at least 3-4 years leading a team of 3+
- Solid hands-on skills with Linux server administration (Ubuntu, CentOS, RHEL) and Windows Server (Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP)
- Demonstrated experience managing AWS or Azure cloud infrastructure (EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, IAM)—not just awareness, but console/CLI-level operational experience
- Working knowledge of CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or equivalent) and the ability to troubleshoot pipeline failures
- Experience managing office networking: LAN, Wi-Fi, firewalls, VPN, switc
