DESCRIPTION : For C-suite leaders running SAP, the question has shifted. It’s no longer whether to move to the cloud - it’s how fast they can get there, and what their organizations can build once they do. The challenge is that SAP transformations are among the most complex programs an enterprise undertakes, touching finance, supply chain, manufacturing, and customer operations simultaneously. And while AI is at the top of every boardroom agenda, most organizations can’t unlock its full potential until their SAP data is in the cloud - where they can actually build something with it.

Key job responsibilities

As a key member of the AWS India Specialist team working to ensure SAP customer success on the AWS platform, you will act as an Amazon ambassador. Your technical expertise and operational excellence will influence the team’s decisions and drive secure and robust solutions. You should not only be passionate about delivering great customer service and deploying SAP solutions in AWS cloud, but should also be obsessed with accelerating the customers’ successful adoption of AWS.

This includes:

- Lead or Support technical engagements with SAP customers in the India region.
- Focus on SAP within AWS, delivering strategy to build mind share and broad use of Amazon's web services across the India SAP customer and partner base.
- Act as an Amazon ambassador in customer and partner engagements.
- Working directly with customers to develop cloud migration and/or adoption strategies as it relates to their business critical SAP systems and data strategy.
- Lead Cross portfolio solution offerings for SAP customers.
- Operate with an AI first mindset.



Develop a deep understanding of the AWS AI solutions and bring a perspective to customers on best approaches to deliver value and differentiate with AWS AI capabilities.
- Work with customers to co-develop AI use cases which leverage enterprise data (SAP) to deliver business value
- Strategic customer assessments of SAP business, product, and technical challenges.
- Capture and share best-practice knowledge for deploying, running and managing SAP solutions on AWS.
- Key membership of SAP on AWS Go-To-Market team working to ensure SAP customer success on the AWS platform (post live advisory and support).
- Significant travel may be required.

SAP on AWS Specialists Team

AWS and SAP have been collaborating since SAP became a customer in 2008. Together, we have certified AWS to support most SAP solutions, brought purpose built EC2 instances to market to support SAP customer needs, and helped SAP leverage AWS services to power a number of their SaaS and PaaS offerings like Concur, SuccessFactors

As a SAP on AWS, Solutions Architect focused on SAP within Amazon Web Services India, you will have the prospect to help shape and deliver on a strategy to build mind share and broad use of Amazon's web services across the global SAP customer and partner base.



The emphasis being on working directly with customers to develop cloud migration and/or adoption strategies as it relates to their business critical SAP systems.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS :

- 8+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) experience
- 5+ years of customer-facing environment, or 5+ years of retail or customer facing experience
- Experience using strong customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Experience and deep knowledge of SAP system migration or upgrades.
- Experience or deep knowledge in SAP High Availability architectures, SAP Backup and Recovery.
- Demonstrated knowledge in architecting, deploying, and the operation of SAP solutions.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS :

- 5+ years of infrastructure architecture, database architecture and networking experience
- Knowledge of SAP systems (like SAP Business Suite, S/4HANA, SAP Business Warehouse, SAP HANA, SAP Business Objects, etc.) and their architecture and infrastructure needs
- Experience working with end user or developer communities
- Experience managing relationships with SAP customers and partners
- Experience in SAP S/4HANA, SAP Cloud Platform, SAP Cloud ERP and Cloud ERP Private

Hands-on experience with AWS ecosystems (including Bedrock, AgentCore, and SageMaker) to set up secure, private-network AI environments, and practical experience implementing Retrieval-Augmented Generation using embeddings, vector stores, and semantic search optimization

Agentic AI expertise - Hands-on experience with multi-agent orchestration, tool use, memory, and guardrails using frameworks, or AWS AgentCore
