Security Architect - Level 5 | Offshore (India)

Role Overview

The Data Security Architect will provide senior advisory and technical leadership for the Microsoft 365 security engagement. The role will guide assessments, structure recommendations, review deliverables, and translate Henry Schein requirements and identified security gaps into practical standards, procedures, SOPs, and roadmap artefacts.

Engagement Context

This role supports a three-month, Time and Materials engagement focused primarily on assessment, analysis, advisory support, documentation, recommendations, and stakeholder collaboration. Limited validation or configuration support may be performed when assigned by the Henry Schein Project Manager; the role does not own enterprise-wide remediation, rollout, or ongoing operations.

Core Engagement Areas

- Microsoft 365 Secure Configuration and related security controls.
- Data Protection, Identity and Access Governance.
- Data exposure, oversharing, external and guest access.
- Application governance and related security risks.
- Assessment reports, standards, procedures, SOPs, recommendations, and roadmap artefacts.
- Workshops, stakeholder discussions, validation activities, and knowledge transfer.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead assessment and review of Microsoft 365 Secure Configuration, Data Protection, Identity and Access Governance controls.
- Analyze identified risks relating to oversharing, excessive access, external and guest access, application governance, and related security controls.
- Lead stakeholder workshops and working sessions to clarify requirements, validate findings,



and align recommendations.
- Define the assessment approach, review criteria, deliverable structure, and quality standards for the engagement.
- Develop and review assessment reports, security standards, procedures, SOPs, recommendations, and roadmap artefacts.
- Provide architecture guidance on Microsoft 365 data security capabilities and dependencies, including Microsoft Purview and relevant Microsoft 365 services.
- Review technical outputs prepared by the Level 4 resource and ensure consistency, traceability, and actionable recommendations.
- Identify requirements outside the agreed scope and support impact assessment and change-request discussions.
- Support validation activities and knowledge-transfer sessions as assigned by the Henry Schein Project Manager.

Required Skills and Experience
- Strong experience in Microsoft 365 security architecture, secure configuration reviews, and data-security advisory engagements.
- Deep knowledge of Microsoft Purview Information Protection, sensitivity labels, Data Loss Prevention, and data-protection controls.
- Working knowledge of SharePoint Online, OneDrive for Business, Microsoft Teams, Microsoft Entra ID, guest access, permissions, and application governance.
- Ability to interpret assessment findings and convert them into clear standards, recommendations, procedures, SOPs, and roadmaps.
- Robust stakeholder-management, workshop-facilitation, technical-writing, and presentation skills.
- Experience reviewing and assuring technical deliverables produced by multi-disciplinary security teams.

Expected Profile
- Senior security architect or lead consultant with substantial Microsoft 365 and Data Security experience.
- Relevant Microsoft security, compliance, identity, or information-protection certifications are desirable.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for customer-facing advisory work.
