Role Summary

We are looking for an experienced Oracle Extensions Technical Consultant to design, develop and deliver custom extensions and integrations for Oracle Fusion Applications using Oracle Visual Builder Cloud Service (VBCS) and Oracle APEX. You will collaborate with clients, project managers, functional consultants and technical teams to deliver high-quality solutions that extend Oracle applications, and you will provide technical leadership and guidance on extension architecture, tool selection and best practices.

Mandatory Skills

Oracle VBCS / Visual Builder Studio

Deep knowledge of VBCS custom page development, with more than one end-to-end implementation.

Hands-on experience with page integration in Fusion Applications.

Working knowledge of Visual Builder Studio: Redwood templates, Fusion extensions and CI/CD.

Good knowledge of Java Script, HTML and CSS.

Oracle APEX

Strong knowledge of APEX custom page development, with more than one end-to-end implementation, including interactive reports, forms and charts.

Hands-on experience with page integration in Fusion Applications.

Experience using Redwood templates within APEX for UX.

Common Technical Skills

Strong SQL and PL/SQL, including developing data models and database packages (experience with ATP database).





Experience working with REST and SOAP web services for integrations.

Ability to select the right extension approach (VBCS or APEX) for a given business requirement.

Ability to work independently, own deliverables and collaborate effectively within a team.

Good to Have

Groovy development experience.

OIC integration development experience.

Fusion Security: roles and data access.

IDCS setup for PaaS: user and workspace setup, SSO, and federation between SaaS and PaaS.

Experience leading or mentoring junior developers.

Client-facing experience.

Key Responsibilities

Collaborate with clients and functional consultants to gather business requirements and translate them into technical specifications for VBCS and APEX solutions.

Design and develop custom extensions and integrations using VBCS (Java Script, HTML, CSS, REST) and APEX (SQL, PL/SQL, ATP).

Customize and extend Oracle applications, modules and workflows to meet specific business needs.

Develop data models and database packages, build and consume REST APIs, and configure integrations between Oracle applications and other systems and databases.

Test, debug and troubleshoot to ensure quality, performance and security of extension applications.





Work with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth integration with existing systems and data sources.

Provide technical guidance and expertise to clients and project teams throughout the implementation lifecycle.

Stay current with the latest VBCS and APEX features, enhancements and best practices.

Document technical specifications, configurations and procedures.

Support migration and deployment of VBCS and APEX applications to production environments.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or a related field. Oracle certifications in VBCS and APEX are a plus.

7+ years of overall experience as an Oracle Developer or Extensions Technical Consultant, with a strong understanding of Oracle Fusion Applications and ERP modules.

In-depth knowledge of VBCS and APEX development tools, visual development environments and declarative development approaches.

Proficiency in Java Script, HTML, CSS and web technologies, and in SQL and PL/SQL.

Familiarity with Oracle Fusion Applications and their underlying data models.

Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for client and team interaction.

Experience with the full SDLC: requirements, analysis, design, development, testing and deployment.
