Role Overview

We are seeking a Senior Atlassian Administrator & Developer to manage, scale, and innovate across our enterprise Atlassian ecosystem (Jira Software, Jira Service Management, Confluence, Bitbucket).

In this role, you will be responsible for end-to-end platform administration, governance, and cloud migrations, as well as extending Jira Cloud functionality by building custom applications using Atlassian Forge and implementing AI-driven workflows using Atlassian Rovo Agents. The ideal candidate bridges core administrative expertise with modern cloud-native Atlassian development and automation.

Key Responsibilities 1. Platform Administration & Governance

- Administer, configure, and maintain Jira Software, Jira Service Management (JSM), Confluence, and related developer tools across Cloud, Server, and Data Center environments.

- Design, build, and optimize custom workflows, screens, fields, workflow schemes, issue security schemes, permission schemes, and notification schemes.

- Standardize Jira configurations across multiple business units and project teams to enforce governance, maintainability, and scalability.

- Configure JSM request types, agile forms, queues, SLAs, customer portals, customer permissions, and agent access.

- Manage Confluence spaces, access permissions, page templates, macros, and knowledge-base structures.

- Oversee user management, role-based access control (RBAC), and integrations with directory services (LDAP, Active Directory, Crowd, Atlassian Access / Cloud Guard).

2. Forge & AI Agent Development
- Design, develop,



and deploy custom Jira Cloud apps and extensions using the Atlassian Forge framework (Node.js, Custom UI / UI Kit).

- Build, test, and implement Atlassian Rovo Agents to deliver AI-powered automation, context-aware enterprise search, and knowledge discovery across Jira and Confluence.

- Create custom Rovo Agent actions and Forge functions to query enterprise data, automate routine service requests, and streamline business processes.

- Manage Forge app manifests, scoped permissions, environments, and deployments following Atlassian Cloud security best practices.

3. Automation, Integrations & Migrations
- Build, maintain, and optimize global and project-level Jira Automation rules to eliminate manual tasks and streamline issue lifecycles.

- Plan, execute, and validate Server-to-Cloud and Cloud-to-Cloud migrations (projects, workflows, custom fields, historical data, and user directories) with minimal operational downtime.

- Develop custom automations and integrations using Atlassian REST APIs, webhooks, and scripting languages (Groovy, Shell, Java Script).

- Integrate Jira and Confluence with CI/CD and version control tools (Bitbucket, Git, Git Hub, Bamboo).

4. Monitoring, Support & Reporting
- Build advanced JQL queries, multi-gadget operational dashboards,



and custom reporting filters for engineering, product, and leadership teams.

- Perform regular system maintenance, marketplace plugin evaluations/upgrades, re-indexing, and performance troubleshooting.

- Provide Tier 2/Tier 3 support for end users, draft internal standard operating procedures (SOPs), and deliver training sessions on platform features.

Required Qualifications & Skills
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.

- Experience: 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience in Atlassian administration and development.

- Core Atlassian Expertise:

- Deep administrative knowledge of Jira Software, Jira Service Management (JSM), and Confluence (Cloud and Data Center).

- Demonstrated experience planning and executing Jira Cloud-to-Cloud or Server-to-Cloud migrations.

- Proven track record designing enterprise-grade workflows, schemes, and field configurations.

- Development & Scripting:

- Hands-on experience developing with Atlassian Forge (Node.js / Java Script, Custom UI or UI Kit).

- Experience designing and configuring Atlassian Rovo Agents and custom Rovo actions.

- Familiarity with REST APIs, JSON, and webhooks for third-party integrations.

- Scripting experience using Groovy (e.g., Script Runner) or Shell scripts for administrative tasks.

- Agile & Process:

- Solid understanding of Agile, Scrum, and Kanban frameworks, as well as IT Service Management (ITSM) concepts.

- Experience with version control systems (Git, Bitbucket, Git Hub).
