We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Associate Director, Software Engineering Specialist
What you'll be doing
- Own delivery across cloud and Dev Ops initiatives with a global engineering team
- Partner with stakeholders to meet governance, project delivery and architecture requirements
- Oversee engineering across one or more Dev Ops pods as the senior Dev Ops/Cloud Engineer
- Advance the Kubernetes platform to keep pace with growing business demand
- Build and manage cloud environments that enable secure application deployments
- Engineer solutions using Infrastructure as Code methods
- Govern operational and compliance activities and plan remediation actions for services
- Embed engineering best practice through quality assurance across development and operations
What we're looking for
- Bring proven experience designing and operating cloud platforms at scale including complex cloud migrations
- Apply advanced Kubernetes knowledge and strong AWS cloud capability in real-world platform environments
- Demonstrate experience running large-scale platforms across build, test, deploy, monitoring and alerting
- Use Infrastructure as Code approaches such as Terraform to deliver repeatable cloud engineering outcomes
- Work with container and platform tooling such as Docker, HELM and service meshes such as ISTIO or equivalent
- Implement and improve CI/CD tooling and platform observability using monitoring services
- Operate effectively in a highly regulated industry such as financial services
- Communicate complex technical topics clearly in writing and verbally to a wide range of audiences
