Role Description As a UX Design Specialist at Superfan.ng, you will design intuitive, engaging experiences for a gamified African languages learning platform in a full-time, remote role. You will work closely with product, engineering, and content teams to translate learning goals and cultural narratives into user flows, wireframes, and interactive prototypes. Your day-to-day tasks include conducting user research with learners in Africa and the diaspora, mapping user journeys, and applying design thinking to solve usability challenges.

You will refine visual design elements to ensure consistency across the app, run usability tests,



and iterate based on qualitative and quantitative feedback. You will also help maintain design systems, document UX guidelines, and advocate for user-centered design throughout the product development process.

Qualifications

- Ability to apply core Design Thinking principles to identify user needs, frame problems, and generate human-centered solutions.
- Strong Visual Design and User Experience Design (UED) skills to create clear, accessible, and engaging interfaces for mobile and web.
- Experience with User Research methods, including interviews, surveys, usability testing, and analysis of user behavior.
- Proficiency in Prototyping, wireframing, and interaction design using modern design tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD).
- Solid understanding of responsive and mobile-first design, accessibility best practices, and design systems.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally in a remote team setting.
- Prior experience in edtech, language learning, gaming, or culturally focused products is an advantage.
- Bachelor’s degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
