About The Role

We are looking for an experienced ServiceNow Engineering Lead to drive engineering practices, platform architecture and DevOps excellence across the ServiceNow ecosystem. The role involves defining engineering standards, improving development and deployment processes, ensuring platform stability and guiding teams in adopting scalable and secure solutions.

Key Responsibilities

- Design and continuously improve the engineering operating model for ServiceNow applications and platform.
- Collaborate with architects, platform and DevOps teams to establish engineering standards, reusable solutions and best practices.
- Provide technical design guidance across ServiceNow modules, including ITSM, ITOM, ITBM, SecOps/GRC and LSD.
- Drive engineering practices covering source control, code reviews, automated testing, CI/CD, release management and documentation.
- Improve platform performance, reliability, security, scalability and maintainability.
- Guide and mentor development and DevOps teams on engineering best practices.
- Drive automated and frequent ServiceNow deployments through CI/CD pipelines.
- Identify technical risks, manage technical debt and recommend platform improvements.
- Define engineering metrics and continuously improve platform health and developer productivity.




- Explore and adopt relevant ServiceNow platform capabilities and AI-assisted development practices.

Mandatory Skills
- 8–10 years of hands-on software engineering experience.
- Strong hands-on ServiceNow development experience.
- Proficiency in JavaScript, HTML5, CSS, AJAX and GlideRecord.
- Experience with REST/SOAP APIs, web services and integrations.
- Strong knowledge of client-side and server-side scripting, ACLs, debugging and secure coding.
- Experience across ServiceNow modules such as ITSM, ITOM, ITBM and SecOps/GRC.
- Good understanding of software architecture, design patterns, SDLC and platform engineering.
- Hands-on experience with Git/source control, automated testing, CI/CD pipelines and release automation.
- Experience defining engineering standards, coding guidelines, guardrails and reusable patterns.
- Knowledge of platform monitoring, observability, performance and upgrade management.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams.

Preferred Skills

- Experience with LSD (Legal Service Delivery) module.
- Experience coaching developers and driving engineering practice adoption across teams.
- Experience with AI-assisted development tools.
- Solid stakeholder management, communication and problem-solving skills.
