Summary

We are looking for an experienced Senior PKMS / WM iSeries Technical Lead to drive application development, enhancements, and production support for Warehouse Management applications running on the IBM iSeries (AS400) platform.

The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with PKMS (Pick Ticket Management System) and Warehouse Management applications, along with expertise in RPG/RPGLE programming and IBM iSeries technologies. This role combines technical delivery, application support, and team leadership. The individual will be responsible for driving enhancements, resolving complex production issues, ensuring application stability, and leading a small team of technical resources.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead the development, customization, maintenance, and enhancement of PKMS / Warehouse Management applications on the IBM iSeries platform.
- Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical specifications and solutions.
- Drive application enhancements related to warehouse operations and business processes.
- Work hands-on with debugging, code modifications, performance optimization, and technical troubleshooting.
- Manage day-to-day application support, production incidents, and service requests, ensuring timely resolution within defined SLAs.
- Perform root cause analysis and implement permanent fixes to recurring issues.
- Support batch processing, job scheduling,



application interfaces, and related system operations.
- Coordinate application testing, deployments, releases, and technical documentation.
- Lead and mentor a small team of PKMS / WM iSeries developers and support resources.
- Allocate tasks, prioritize support activities, monitor delivery, and provide technical guidance to team members.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders and cross-functional teams to ensure smooth application delivery and operational continuity.

Required Skills & Experience

- 10+ years of experience in IBM iSeries / AS400 application development and support.
- Strong hands-on experience with PKMS (Pick Ticket Management System) / Warehouse Management applications.
- Experience in PKMS / WM application enhancements, customization, maintenance, and production support.
- Strong programming experience in RPG, RPGLE, CL, and CLLE.
- Experience with DB2/400, SQL, database operations, and troubleshooting.
- Good understanding of warehouse management processes, including receiving, putaway, inventory management, replenishment, picking, packing, and shipping.
- Experience handling application integrations, batch jobs, interfaces, and production issues.
- Solid debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Previous experience leading or mentoring a small technical team.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience supporting and enhancing legacy PKMS / Warehouse Management implementations.
- Exposure to integrations between WMS, ERP, OMS, and other supply chain applications.
- Familiarity with application release management, change management tools, and ITIL-based support processes.
- Experience working in client-facing application development and support environments.
