Role Description This is a full-time remote role for a Senior Java Jakarta EE Developer. The person in this role will design, develop, and maintain enterprise-level applications using Java and Jakarta EE frameworks. Daily responsibilities include implementing and consuming web services, integrating databases, writing clean and efficient code, and troubleshooting complex technical issues.

The Senior

Developer will collaborate with cross-functional teams, participate in code reviews, improve application performance, and contribute to architectural decisions. The role also involves mentoring less experienced developers,



following best practices for security and scalability, and supporting ongoing enhancements in a distributed, offshore environment.

Qualifications

- Strong proficiency in Java and experience with Jakarta EE for enterprise application development.
- Hands-on software development skills, including object-oriented design, coding, testing, and debugging.
- Practical experience with relational or NoSQL databases, including design, optimization, and integration.
- Knowledge of RESTful and/or SOAP web services, including API design, implementation, and integration.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience with application servers, build tools, and version control systems (e.g., Maven/Gradle, Git).
- Familiarity with cloud or containerized environments (e.g., AWS, Azure, Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.
- Robust problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently in a remote setting.
- Effective communication skills and experience collaborating with distributed and cross-functional teams.
