About ScriptAssist

ScriptAssist is a healthcare SaaS platform supporting clinic operations, patient journeys, pharmacy fulfilment, prescriptions, inventory and shared platform services. We are hiring a hands-on engineer to take end-to-end operational ownership of release execution, infrastructure health and service reliability across all managed environments.

What you will own• Releases: Plan and execute approved feature, defect and hotfix deployments; maintain GitLab CI/CD, release evidence, readiness gates, recovery plans and post-release checks.

- Every environment: Operate production, staging, UAT, development and any approved pre-production environments; track availability, configuration differences, capacity, cost and access.
- Databases and background services: Monitor PostgreSQL, Redis, queues, schedulers, migrations, backups, restore exercises and background processing health.
- Observability: Implement meaningful service-health dashboards, alert routing, logs, traces, uptime/error indicators and recurring failure analysis.
- Integrations: Monitor third-party API/webhook operations including payments, identity verification, messaging, logistics, accounting and configured automation providers.
- Incidents: Be operational incident coordinator when designated; contain failures, call the right specialists, preserve evidence, coordinate recovery and write actionable post-incident follow-ups.
- Security and governance: Manage secrets, access reviews, environment separation, infrastructure change evidence and operational resilience with appropriate approvals.
- Automation: Reduce risky manual operations through repeatable runbooks, Infrastructure as Code where appropriate,



deployment locks and health checks.

Required experience• Strong GCP/cloud production operations, Linux, networking, Docker/container services, logs and troubleshooting.
- GitLab CI/CD, version control, approval and deployment pipelines, release branching and reversible application deployments.
- PostgreSQL including transaction/lock diagnosis, migration risk, performance monitoring and recoverability; Redis and queue health.
- Node.js/TypeScript runtime operational familiarity; ability to diagnose application/infrastructure boundaries without becoming the feature developer.
- Incident command, on-call escalation, RCA, observability and provider API/webhook incident handling.
- Clear written UK-business communication, disciplined evidence capture, ownership and secure escalation.

Desirable experienceMulti-tenant healthcare or other regulated SaaS; Bun/NestJS; BullMQ and n8n; cloud-managed services; threat-aware change controls; infrastructure automation. Familiarity with the actual ScriptAssist deployment stack will be assessed during onboarding rather than assumed from the job advert.

Working modelTypical working hours align with the UK business day. Database-migration deployments take place before 09:00 or after 18:00 UK time. Non-migration releases may occur during UK business hours after approval. Scheduled shifts, coverage, overtime/compensation and on-call arrangements are agreed and communicated in advance, subject to applicable employment policies.
