Senior Accountant – Management Accounts & Tax Compliance – Lucey Group

Location: Chennai, initially remote

Employment: Full time, dedicated position

Reporting to: Group Financial Controller

About the role

We are building an internal finance team to support a growing international portfolio. This position owns the preparation of reliable entity accounts and the delivery of assigned tax and statutory compliance work, under the Group Financial Controller’s review.

Your responsibilities

- Prepare monthly accounts for an allocated portfolio of companies.
- Maintain accruals, prepayments, fixed assets and supporting balance-sheet schedules.
- Reconcile intercompany balances and prepare documented intercompany invoices and recharges.
- Prepare UK and Irish VAT returns, supporting reconciliations and submission records for review.
- Prepare year-end accounts, corporation tax computations and return working papers.
- Prepare and submit UK CT600s where assigned, using appropriate software and review procedures.
- Maintain financial schedules supporting UK and Irish R&D; claims, working with technical project owners on supporting evidence.
- Maintain the compliance calendar and evidence of completed filings.
- Support budgets, forecasts,



management reporting and acquisition opening balances.
- Resolve historic accounting differences and document outstanding issues.

Essential requirements

- Fully qualified ICAI Chartered Accountant, ACCA member, ACA or recognised CPA, with verifiable membership.
- Direct experience preparing UK management accounts, VAT returns and corporation tax work.
- Practical Irish accounting or tax experience is strongly preferred; describe exactly which obligations you have handled.
- Strong reconciliation skills and experience managing several companies simultaneously.
- Practical experience with Xero or comparable software and advanced spreadsheet skills.
- Ability to explain accounting judgements and identify when specialist advice is required.
