AgileEngine is looking for an experienced, hands-on Python Engineer to join an exciting project

I, contributing to next-generation applications and calculation platforms for its Sustainability & Climate Business.

? Location: Mumbai/Pune/Bangalore (Hybrid – Office attendance 2–3 days/week)

? Notice Period: Maximum 3 weeks

? Long-term Opportunity

There is a very high possibility of extension beyond the initial 9-month engagement. Additionally, AgileEngine works with 300+ active clients, providing opportunities to explore and transition to other projects, including opportunities through our internal bench deployment process.

? Key Skills Required

- 4+ years of strong hands-on experience in Python development.
- Proficiency in NumPy and Pandas.
- Experience with FastAPI, Django, or Flask and RESTful API development.
- Strong understanding of SQL/NoSQL databases.
- Hands-on experience with Azure or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Experience with Azure Databricks, Apache Spark, or similar data processing frameworks.
- Experience building cloud-based ETL pipelines, batch processing, and data integration workflows.
- Experience developing and managing cloud-based microservices.
- Solid understanding of data-driven application development.
- Experience with unit testing using PyTest/Unittest.
- Strong knowledge of Git, DevOps practices, and security best practices.




- Experience maintaining legacy Python applications and handling production incidents.

⭐ Good to Have
- Domain knowledge of climate and sustainability products, including emissions, physical risk, and biodiversity.
- Experience with MSCI's climate and sustainability platforms.
- Exposure to AI/LLM-based solutions.
- Experience with open-source technologies.
- Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.

? What You'll Be Working On
- Developing new functionalities for climate calculation platforms and next-generation applications.
- Building scalable, high-performance enterprise applications.
- Developing and optimizing cloud-based data processing solutions.
- Working on ETL pipelines, data integration, and batch processing workflows.
- Collaborating with Product, Research, Architecture, QA, and Data Operations teams.
- Maintaining, troubleshooting, and optimizing production applications.
