Role Description The Onboarding Specialist is a full-time, on-site role based in Chennai. This role is responsible for guiding new merchants through the end-to-end onboarding process, including documentation collection, account setup, and configuration of cross-border payment solutions.

The Onboarding

Specialist will coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely activation, verify compliance and risk requirements, and provide clear explanations of product features and processes. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting onboarding calls, tracking onboarding milestones, resolving issues, and ensuring a smooth transition from sales to live operations.



The role also involves maintaining accurate onboarding records, identifying process improvements, and delivering a positive experience for every recent client.

Qualifications

- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive, professional relationships with clients and colleagues.
- Experience in customer onboarding or client onboarding, ideally within payments, fintech, financial services, or related industries.
- Solid analytical skills to review onboarding data, documentation, and process gaps, and to propose practical solutions.
- Clear and effective communication skills, including the ability to explain technical or complex information in a simple manner.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Commerce, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Attention to detail, strong organizational abilities, and proficiency with CRM or onboarding tools and standard office software.
- Comfort working in a fast-paced environment with cross-functional teams; prior experience with cross-border payments is an advantage.
- Commitment to delivering a high-quality, inclusive client experience and adherence to regulatory and compliance standards.
