About Khidma

Khidma connects Muslims worldwide with Islamic scholars and qualified counsellors, so they can find care that honours both mind and faith. We serve clients on four continents, primarly US, UAE and UK.

About the role

Reaching out for help is hard. As our Muslim Psychology Associate, you’ll be the first conversation: listen, understand, and guide each person to the right scholar or counsellor.

This is a guidance role, not therapy, and you’ll be supervised by a senior clinician.

What you will do

Guide clients to the right support

- Run 15-minute guidance calls and match clients to the right expert
- Answer client messages about our services and their concers
- Route Q&A; questions to scholars and reach out to those who need counselling

Learn from the people we serve and shape the product

- Ask short research questions and log notes after each conversation
- Help shape Khidma’s product for clients and experts
- Produce a weekly insights brief

Work with our experts and community

- Coordinate and moderate weekly expert case reviews
- Host a weekly one-hour online workshop
- Support operations and content as needed

Who we are looking for





You have

- Fluent, natural spoken English: most of our clients are in the US and UK
- A BA in Psychology
- Clear written English
- A warm, calm, non-judgemental manner
- Valuable organisation, and you’re at ease with Google Sheets
- A strict commitment to confidentiality

It helps if you have

- Arabic, Turkish or Urdu
- An understanding of Muslim diaspora or Gulf culture
- Counselling, helpline or mental health experience
- Group or event moderation experience

Working hours

Flexible: pick your own hours and work at your convenience. You’ll need a private space, a laptop, a headset and a stable internet connection.
