Role Description The Maintenance Officer is a full-time, on-site role based at Advy Biosciences’ facility in Mumbai. This role is responsible for the routine maintenance, inspection, and repair of production equipment, utilities, and facility infrastructure to ensure secure, reliable, and uninterrupted operations in a regulated diagnostic manufacturing environment. Day-to-day tasks include performing preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical and electrical systems, troubleshooting breakdowns,



coordinating with production and quality teams to minimize downtime, and documenting maintenance activities in line with GMP and company standards.

The Maintenance

Officer will also support installation and commissioning of new equipment, monitor spare parts inventory, and collaborate with external service providers when needed. The role requires adherence to safety protocols, proactive identification of maintenance needs, and clear communication with supervisors and cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

- Strong skills in Equipment Maintenance and Maintenance & Repair for manufacturing, laboratory, or industrial facilities.
- Experience with Corrective Maintenance, including troubleshooting, fault diagnosis, and timely resolution of equipment issues.
- Knowledge of Electricity, including basic electrical systems, safety practices, and working with panels, wiring, and controls.
- Effective Communication skills to coordinate with operations, quality, and external vendors, and to maintain clear maintenance records.
- Working knowledge of GMP or other regulated manufacturing environments is an advantage.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, engineering drawings, and equipment schematics.
- Certificate, diploma, or degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- Experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, diagnostics, or similar process industries is beneficial.
