Role Description The Legal Counsel will provide comprehensive legal support to Verzat Technologies and its business units on a full-time basis. This on-site role, based in Pune District, involves reviewing, drafting, and negotiating a variety of contracts and agreements, including vendor, client, employment, and partnership documents. The individual will advise on legal risks and regulatory compliance, support dispute resolution, and help establish and maintain internal legal policies and processes.

Day-to-day responsibilities include analyzing legal issues related to technology, data protection, intellectual property, and corporate governance, as well as collaborating with leadership and cross-functional teams to enable informed decision-making.

The Legal

Counsel will also monitor relevant legal developments, support training on legal and compliance topics,



and coordinate with external counsel when required.

Qualifications

- Strong foundation in Law and demonstrated ability to analyze and interpret statutes, regulations, and case law.
- Experience in Contract Negotiation and managing commercial agreements with internal and external stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Legal Document Preparation, including drafting, reviewing, and revising contracts, policies, and legal correspondence.
- Ability to identify, assess, and manage Legal Issues related to technology, data privacy, intellectual property, and corporate matters.
- Capability to provide clear, practical Legal Advice to business teams and leadership in a fast-paced environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Law (LL.B.) from an accredited institution; LL.M. or specialized certifications in corporate or technology law are an advantage.
- Prior experience as in-house counsel or in a law firm working with technology or software companies is preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, and robust organizational and time-management abilities.
- High ethical standards, sound judgment, and the ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Comfort working on-site in Pune District and collaborating with diverse teams in a gender-neutral, inclusive environment.
