We are hiring a Lead Software Engineer to lead delivery of software enhancements and coach engineers working on cloud-based, client-facing apps. You will shape solution design, oversee implementation, and ensure smooth releases using Spring Boot microservices, Java, SQL, and PostgreSQL with GitHub Actions CI/CD. Responsibilities

- Lead enhancement planning and delivery for client-facing applications
- Operate and optimize the GitHub Actions CI/CD pipeline to support a high release cadence (20+ releases/month)
- Work across layers of the stack, including Spring, Java, and PostgreSQL
- Enforce the minor-enhancement boundary (approximately 5 working days / 40 hours) when sizing recent requests
- Partner with the Enhancement Architect to ensure design alignment and manage technical risk
- Guide Engineers who support the broader application portfolio with technical decisions




- Take ownership of end-to-end delivery while coaching and mentoring the technical team

Requirements

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related STEM field
- Extensive track record of 10+ years in software development, testing, and implementation
- Hands-on leadership experience of 1+ year guiding engineers and delivery outcomes
- Strong command of Java and SQL
- Advanced knowledge of Spring Boot and microservices deployment
- Demonstrated experience with GitHub Actions and CI/CD practices supporting a high release cadence (20+ releases/month)
- Familiarity with PostgreSQL

Nice to have

- Knowledge of Redis and RabbitMQ
- Experience deploying dockerized microservices
- Familiarity with AWS and Azure cloud environments
