Summary

UST is seeking an experienced Senior SolidWorks Customization Engineer for a full-time role based in Surat (work from office only), to develop, enhance, and maintain automation solutions within the SolidWorks ecosystem. The ideal candidate brings strong expertise in the SolidWorks API, C#, .NET, VBA/VB.NET, PDM integration, and CAD automation to streamline engineering workflows and improve design productivity.

The Opportunity

- Develop custom applications, add-ins, macros, and automation tools using the SolidWorks API.
- Create CAD automation solutions for drawing generation, BOM creation, model validation, and design standardization.
- Integrate SolidWorks with enterprise systems such as PDM, PLM, ERP, and MES.
- Customize workflows, templates, and engineering processes.
- Develop data exchange solutions using XML, SQL, APIs, and web services.
- Troubleshoot and optimize existing customizations and integrations.
- Work closely with design, manufacturing, and IT teams to gather requirements and deliver solutions.
- Support deployment, testing, documentation, and user training activities.

What You Need

- 5–10+ years of experience in SolidWorks customization and CAD automation.

Required Skills

- Strong experience in SolidWorks API development.
- Proficiency in C#, .NET, VB.NET, and VBA.
- Experience with SolidWorks PDM Professional customization.
- Knowledge of CAD data management, BOM management, and engineering workflows.
- Experience with database technologies (SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL).
- Understanding of PLM/PDM systems and CAD integrations.
- Robust debugging, problem-solving, and software development skills.

Desired Skills





- SolidWorks Electrical customization.
- Experience with Teamcenter, Windchill, Enovia, or SAP integrations.
- Knowledge of REST APIs, web services, and cloud-based engineering applications.
- Experience in manufacturing, automotive, industrial equipment, or aerospace domains.
- Experience in AI-assisted CAD automation.
- Automated drawing creation and rule-based design automation.
- Digital thread and Model-Based Enterprise (MBE) exposure.
