Job Description:

Position: Procurement Engineer

Location: Marol - Mumbai

Experience: 5 - 10 Years

Industries: Chemical - MNC

Responsibilities:

- Identify, evaluate, and finalise vendors for equipment, materials, and services.
- Float enquiries, obtain quotations, evaluate technical and commercial proposals, and prepare Price Comparative Statements (PCS).
- Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules with vendors.
- Coordinate with engineering teams for technical clarifications, specifications, and drawing approvals.
- Procure pumps, filters, pressure vessels, tanks, heat exchangers, valves, piping, instrumentation, and other process equipment.
- Handle ZLD-specific procurement, including MEE/MVR evaporators, crystallisers, ATFDs, centrifuges, condensers, and associated utility equipment.
- Identify and develop vendors for specialised ZLD packages and evaporation/crystallisation systems.
- Coordinate with engineering teams and vendors for equipment datasheets, GA drawings, P&IDs;, technical deviations, and vendor drawing approvals.
- Evaluate proposals for technical compliance, material of construction (MOC), energy consumption, performance guarantees, and operating costs.
- Create and process purchase requisitions, purchase orders,



and other procurement documents in SAP.
- Monitor order status, delivery schedules, manufacturing progress, inspections, and material dispatches through SAP and vendor follow-ups.
- Coordinate with project, engineering, quality, and site teams to ensure timely procurement within project budgets.
- Maintain vendor databases, procurement records, and cost-control reports.

Required Skills

- Knowledge of WTP, STP, ETP, RO, UF and ZLD systems and processes.
- SAP MM – Procurement & Purchase Management.
- Vendor Development and Vendor Management.
- Purchase Requisition (PR) and Purchase Order (PO) Management.
- Vendor Negotiation and Technical-Commercial Evaluation.
- Price Comparative Statement (PCS) Preparation.
- MS Excel and Procurement Data Management.
- Cross-functional Coordination with Engineering, Project, Quality and Site Teams.
- Communication and Negotiation Skills.

Required Qualification: - B.Tech/B.E. - Mechanical/Chemical
