Do you have what it takes to build India's most-envied VC firm?
Startups aspire to change the way we live and work. They are here to create economic value. Empowering their founders with empathy and assertiveness is an art. We are seeking such partners as part of YourNest's journey to nurture success for DeepTech startups.
At YourNest, we've been scouting for diamonds in the rough since 2011: with three flagship funds and a continuum fund totalling $160 million, being the first to focus on DeepTech startups, delivering more than 10 exits in the last 5 years, and ensuring we remain among India's best-performing early-stage funds, we've made it a habit to set new benchmarks in the country's venture capital sector. And we've done this thanks to an enterprising team of committed young people who work closely with our founders and investors to help them succeed.
After we invest, our team works alongside founders through fundraising, hiring, go-to-market and governance. The Founder Resource Portal is how we package that support. Now we're hiring an "Intern - Investment Management" to join us in this mission.
How does this role contribute?
We need a hands-on builder for two months to help us finalise the Founder Resource Portal and make it live for our portfolio founders. The portal is a login-gated library of playbooks, templates, expert connections and peer resources for every founder in our portfolio.
The YourNest team has built a working alpha with AI-assisted coding, and the foundations are in place. We now need your help to finish it, stabilise it and launch it as a product our founders use every week. The modules in scope are the resource library (legal, finance, fundraise readiness, hiring), a 100-day playbook, customer and expert connections, and peer resources.
You own — directly and accountably The Platform You'll Work Across
- Founder Front End: Used by portfolio founders behind a login to browse the resource library, playbooks and templates, and to request access, intros and expert time.
- Analyst Back End:
Used by YourNest analysts and associates to manage founder accounts and access, handle requests and track engagement.
- CMS: Used by the YourNest team to add, edit, tag and publish resources without touching code.
- Database: Powers all three, holding founders, companies, resources, requests, access roles and usage data.
Build, Fix & Launch
- Codebase Ownership: Read the codebase, document how it works, and fix what's broken or fragile in the alpha.
- Database & Access Control: Review and tighten the database schema so data, roles and access rules hold up and founder data stays private.
- Founder Experience: Improve the founder front end: navigation, search, request flows and mobile usability.
- Analyst Tools: Build out the analyst back end so the team can manage founders, requests and access on their own.
- Content Management: Make the CMS simple enough that associates can publish and update resources without help, and load content clusters such as Legal and Fundraise Readiness with the team.
- Pilot Testing: Run testing with a small group of founders and analysts, and turn their feedback into fixes.
- Handover: Leave clean documentation so the next owner can run and extend the portal.
Your Next Two Months
- Weeks 1–2: Onboard, audit the alpha, and review the schema and stack.
- Weeks 3–5: Build and fix across the front end, back end and CMS.
- Weeks 6–7: Pilot with selected founders and analysts.
- Week 8: Stabilise and hand over.
KPIs and Impact Measurement
- Audit: A written audit and prioritised fix list, agreed with the team by the end of week 2.
- Beta:
A beta with 2–3 content clusters live by the end of week 5.
- Pilot: Feedback from founders and analysts logged, and the key issues fixed, by the end of week 7.
- Go-Live: A release-ready portal, handover documentation and a walkthrough by the end of week 8.
What qualifications & experience must you have?
At YourNest, we don't measure success by degrees or accolades alone. We care more about what you've built than about your degree. Final-year students, recent graduates and career-switchers are all welcome.
- Experience: You have shipped a working web app end to end, covering front end, back end and database. A personal project, hackathon or previous internship counts.
- AI Coding Tools: You are fluent with Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot or similar, and can read, debug and judge the code they produce.
- Tech Stack: You are comfortable with a modern web stack, such as JavaScript/TypeScript, React or Next.js, Node or Python, and SQL databases like Postgres.
- Security: You understand login, user roles and access control well enough to keep founder data private.
- Mindset: You pick up someone else's codebase quickly, write clear documentation, work independently, flag problems early, and explain things in plain language to non-technical teammates.
- Good to Have: Experience with a headless CMS or simple admin tools, basic cloud deployment (Vercel, Supabase, AWS, OCI or similar), a valuable eye for UI/UX, and an interest in startups, deep tech or venture capital.
