Role Summary

Seeking an experienced and results-oriented Senior Developer with deep ETL expertise in Informatica PowerCenter, Informatica BDM/DEI, Confluent Kafka, Hadoop, SQL, Linux scripting, and good knowledge in Informatica PowerExchange. The successful candidate will play a key role in designing, developing, enhancing, and supporting enterprise-scale data integration and data platform solutions within a complex healthcare environment.

This role requires robust hands-on experience in ETL development, data engineering, performance optimization, troubleshooting, and support production support team. The individual will lead technical design and implementation activities, ensuring delivery of scalable, reliable, and high-performing data solutions.

The Senior Developer will collaborate closely with business and technology stakeholders across India and the United States, providing technical leadership, driving solution architecture discussions, and coordinating cross-functional teams to deliver project objectives. Success in this role demands strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication abilities, and the capability to independently drive complex data initiatives from requirements gathering through deployment and ongoing support.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain enterprise ETL solutions using Informatica PowerCenter and Informatica BDM/DEI.
- Build scalable batch and real-time data integration pipelines using Confluent Kafka.
- Develop and optimize data ingestion, transformation, and data quality processes for large-volume datasets.




- Work with Hadoop ecosystem components for data processing and integration.
- Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical designs and implementation solutions.
- Collaborate with release management teams to ensure successful project delivery.
- Utilize GitLab and Jira for version control, project tracking, and release management.
- Perform code reviews, unit testing, deployment support, and production issue resolution.
- Troubleshoot ETL performance bottlenecks and optimize workflows for scalability and reliability.
- Collaborate with Architecture, Data Engineering, QA, and Business teams throughout project delivery.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, design artifacts, and operational runbooks.
- Mentor junior developers and promote engineering best practices across the team.
- Participate in production support rotations and ensure timely resolution of critical issues.

Educational Qualifications & Experience

- Bachelor's degree or higher from a recognized university.
- 8–12 years of progressive experience in Data Engineering, with a strong focus on ETL development.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Required Technical Skills

Strong hands-on experience in:

- Informatica PowerCenter.




- Informatica BDM (Big Data Management) / DEI (Data Engineering Integration).
- Mapping development, workflow creation, parameterization, deployment, and performance tuning.

Good knowledge of:

- Informatica PowerExchange.
- CDC (Change Data Capture) concepts.
- Metadata and repository management.

2. Data Engineering & Big Data
- Strong experience with Confluent Kafka.
- Hands-on experience with the Hadoop ecosystem, including:
- HDFS
- Hive
- Spark
- Understanding of data warehousing concepts.
- Experience with data migration and reconciliation processes.

3. Database & Query Optimization
- Advanced SQL development skills.
- Experience with Oracle, DB2, Teradata, or similar RDBMS platforms.
- Ability to optimize complex SQL queries and ETL processing.

4. Linux & Automation
- Strong Shell/Bash scripting experience.
- Experience with file handling, scheduling, monitoring, and deployment automation.
- Knowledge of Unix/Linux administration concepts.

Preferred Skills

- Experience with healthcare data platforms and Master Data Management (MDM) ecosystems.
- Exposure to cloud-based data integration platforms.
- Knowledge of Spark migration and optimization.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices for data engineering projects.
