AI is rewriting the rules of consumer apps, and social is next. At FRND, we see it as our biggest opportunity to make every conversation better, safer, and more personal. Now we need someone to lead it. ?

We're hiring a Head of AI Initiatives to join our Strategy team and lead this work. You'll pick the problems worth solving with AI, test ideas quickly, and turn the ones that work into features and products used by millions.

This role suits someone who has thrived in a fast-paced startup, tries new AI tools before most people have heard of them, and cares more about real results than impressive demos. ?

? Key Responsibilities

- ? Work with the Strategy team and leadership to set FRND's AI roadmap: where we invest, what we build, and what we skip.
- ? Spot and size AI opportunities across the user journey.
- ? Take AI ideas from blank sheet to launch: define the problem, run quick pilots, measure results, and scale what works.
- ? Partner with Product, Engineering, and Data to build AI-powered features and products.
- ? Own the business case and measurable impact of every AI initiative.
- ? Evaluate and manage AI partners, models, and vendors, balancing quality, speed, and cost.
- ? Set up clear KPIs, dashboards, and review rhythms to track what's working and kill what isn't.
- ? Stay on top of the fast-moving AI landscape and turn new developments into practical bets for FRND.
- ? Hire and grow a team as the AI charter expands.

✅ Requirements

- ? IIT or other Tier 1 engineering graduate.
- ? 3–5 years at a top-tier firm or an ex-founder who has built and run something end-to-end.
- ⚡ Experience in a fast-paced startup or high-growth environment where priorities shift quickly.




- ? Hands-on curiosity about AI: you use the latest tools yourself and understand what they can and can't do.
- ? A clear track record of shipping: products, launches, or initiatives you built, not just strategies you recommended.
- ? Comfortable with ambiguity: able to take a blank-sheet problem, structure it, and execute it yourself.
- ? Robust analytical skills and a rational, data-first approach to decisions.
- ? Able to work closely with engineers and product teams, and translate between tech and business.
- ? Strong bias for action: happy to roll up your sleeves to get a pilot live.
- ⭐ Prior experience building AI or ML products, or in consumer internet and social platforms, is a strong plus.

Note: The FRND team works 6 days a week, with 1st and 3rd Saturdays being working days.
