Role Description The Forward Deployed Engineer is a full time, hybrid role based in Bengaluru. In this role, the engineer works directly with customers to understand their software supply chain security needs, design tailored solutions, and deploy Lineaje’s products into complex enterprise environments. The engineer serves as the primary technical lead through onboarding, POCs, and pilots, troubleshooting issues in live environments and translating customer requirements into actionable product feedback.

Key Responsibilities

1. Partner with customers to deploy and configure solutions (cloud/on-prem) tailored to their needs.
2. Act as the technical lead during onboarding, proof-of-concepts (POCs), and pilot engagements.
3. Collaborate with engineering and product teams to translate customer requirements into product features or configurations.
4.



Troubleshoot technical issues in live environments and provide rapid, effective solutions.
5. Build reusable deployment playbooks, automation scripts, and integrations.
6. Read, debug, and modify product or integration code to resolve field-blocking issues or accelerate customer onboarding.
7. Build and maintain customer-specific integrations with CI/CD pipelines, artifact repositories (JFrog Artifactory, Nexus), and developer toolchains.
8. Deliver technical training and documentation to customer teams.
9. Serve as the voice of the customer, providing feedback to internal teams to shape the roadmap.
10. Travel up to 25% of time to customer sites for deployment or technical workshops.

Qualifications - Required Skills:

1. Strong background in software engineering or systems engineering.
2. Proficiency in one or more of Java, Python, or JavaScript/npm, with the ability to read, debug, and modify code across these ecosystems as needed in customer environments.
3. Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and containerized deployments (Docker/Kubernetes).
4. Knowledge of APIs, integrations, and scripting (Python, Bash, or similar).
5. Familiarity with networking, security concepts, and enterprise IT environments.
6. Ability to quickly understand complex systems and design scalable solutions.
7. Excellent problem-solving, communication, and customer-facing skills.
8. Experience with cybersecurity products (SBOM, SIEM, IAM, DLP, CASB, etc.).
9. Experience with software supply chain security concepts (SBOM, SCA, vulnerability management, VEX)
10. Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Terraform, or other automation tools.
11. Prior experience in customer-facing technical roles (Forward Deployment Engineer, Solutions Engineer, Sales Engineer, Customer Success Engineer, etc.).
