Energy Audit & ESCO Project Manager(s)

Are you a results-driven engineer who understands both the technical mechanics of energy efficiency and the financial structures of ESCO (Energy Service Company) performance contracts?

We are seeking experienced Mechanical and Electrical Engineers to lead industrial and commercial energy audits, design guaranteed energy savings projects, and execute ESCO / Energy Performance Contracts (EPC) from baseline modelling to measurement & verification (M&V;).

About the Role In this role, you will bridge technical energy auditing with financial performance modelling under Shared Savings or Guaranteed Savings ESCO frameworks. You will identify high-yield Energy Conservation Measures (ECMs), establish baseline energy consumption models, quantify performance risks, and manage the technical compliance of contracts throughout project lifecycles.

Key Responsibilities

- Comprehensive Energy Auditing: Lead Level 1, 2, and Investment-Grade Audits (IGA) for commercial facilities, thermal power assets, and process plants to identify turnkey savings opportunities.
- ESCO Project Structuring & Modelling:
- Develop technical and financial proposals under Guaranteed Savings and Shared Savings ESCO models.
- Formulate baseline energy models (using IPMVP protocols) to isolate performance variables (weather, production volume, occupancy).
- Calculate CAPEX, OPEX savings, ROI, NPV, and IRR for proposed energy conservation measures (ECMs).
- Domain-Specific System Optimization:
- Mechanical Focus: Evaluate boilers, steam distribution, waste heat recovery (WHR), chillers, HVAC air handling, compressed air, and pump network optimizations.
- Electrical Focus: Evaluate power quality, transformer loading,



motor efficiency upgrades, VFD applications, power factor optimization, and smart sub metering architecture.
- Measurement & Verification (M&V;): Design and implement M&V; plans according to IPMVP (International Performance Measurement and Verification Protocol) guidelines to ensure guaranteed savings are achieved and sustained post-implementation.
- Contract & Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with client project leads, equipment OEMs, legal teams, and financiers to finalize performance guarantees and split-contract parameters.

Candidate Requirements & Qualifications

- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Power, or Energy Engineering.
- Experience: 10 to 12 years of hands-on experience in industrial/commercial energy auditing, ESCO operations, or energy management performance contracting.
- Technical Expertise:
- Strong expertise in thermal/fluid systems (Mechanical) OR power distribution, electrical drives, and power quality (Electrical).
- Proven experience with Investment-Grade Audits (IGA) and IPMVP M&V; Option A–D methodologies.
- Deep understanding of financial modelling for energy assets (Payback, IRR, Life Cycle Costing).
- Certifications (Highly Preferred):
- Certified Energy Manager (CEM) / Certified Energy Auditor (CEA).
- Certified Measurement & Verification Professional (CMVP).
- Soft Skills: Strong commercial acumen, client presentation abilities, and experience in negotiating technical performance guarantees.
