About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Data Engineer to support data pipeline development, cloud migration activities, and production operations. The role involves building and maintaining reliable data solutions, supporting deployment and validation efforts, and collaborating with distributed team members to ensure successful delivery. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong technical expertise, accountability, and the ability to work effectively in a quick-paced environment.

Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and support data pipelines using Python, SQL, and BigQuery.
- Execute testing, deployment, validation, and migration cutover activities.
- Coordinate with offshore team members as needed.
- Provide production support and participate in incident resolution as needed.
- Be available, when required, to support critical deployments, production issues, and business-critical activities.
- Provide timely, accurate, and proactive status reporting on assignments, milestones, and deliverables.
- Escalate issues and blockers early to support timely resolution.




- Demonstrate ownership, accountability, and follow-through for assigned work.

Required Skills

- Strong proficiency in BigQuery.
- Strong proficiency in Python.
- Strong proficiency in SQL.
- Experience with Airflow or Composer.
- Experience with Git.
- Experience with ETL and ELT development.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional and offshore teams.

Desirable Skills

- Experience supporting cloud migration projects.
- Experience with production support and incident management.
- Familiarity with deployment, validation, and cutover processes.
- Exposure to data engineering best practices and workflow orchestration.

Education Qualification**

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 3 or more years of data engineering experience.
