The Opportunity As an Avaloq Technical Business Analyst you’ll turn business, operational and regulatory needs into clear requirements for Avaloq-based banking solutions. Working across HSBC locations and different system landscapes you’ll connect business stakeholders with product owners, developers, testers, architects, vendors and control functions. The role spans requirements analysis, process design, impact assessment, functional specification, integration analysis, testing, migration support and release readiness. You won’t own the overall solution architecture
- instead you’ll provide the Avaloq and business analysis that enables architects and technical teams to design and deliver the right solution. Success means creating clear traceable requirements,



anticipating downstream impacts and supporting safe delivery through testing, approval and release. What you'll be doing
• Partner with stakeholders to understand business goals, processes, scope, users, controls and expected outcomes
• Translate business needs into clear Avaloq functional and technical requirements
• Document current and target processes, business rules, data flows, interfaces, system dependencies and operational impacts
• Identify gaps between business needs and existing Avaloq functionality and propose workable options
• Assess impacts across Avaloq modules, configuration, customisation, integrations, data, reports, controls and support processes
• Create functional specifications, technical requirement documents, interface specifications, data mappings and acceptance criteria
• Define test scenarios and expected results across functional, integration, regression, migration and user acceptance testing
• Support delivery by clarifying requirements, assessing defects and issues, and maintaining end-to-end traceability through release What we're looking for
• Bring substantial hands-on experience with the Avaloq Banking Suite in delivery environments
• Demonstrate experience analysing Avaloq requirements for implementation, configuration, customisation, migration, upgrades and integration
• Show practical understanding of Avaloq product setup, workflows, data structures, interfaces, batch processing and downstream systems




• Produce clear documentation such as functional specifications, technical requirements, process flows, interface definitions, data mappings and acceptance criteria
• Apply impact assessment across connected systems, reporting, operations, controls and regulatory processes
• Support testing across functional, integration, regression, migration and user acceptance phases including defining scenarios and expected outcomes
• Diagnose defects and incidents involving Avaloq configuration, custom code, interfaces, data or business processes including root-cause analysis
• Communicate effectively with business users, product owners, developers, testers, architects, vendors and control functions including workshop facilitation Deliver safe Avaloq change This role sits at the point where business outcomes meet platform delivery.
