About the Role

Cygnus Advertising is looking for an experienced and research-oriented Content Writer with a strong Journalism background, preferably in Technical or Scientific News Reporting.

The ideal candidate should have excellent writing, research, editing, and storytelling abilities, along with the capability to produce accurate, engaging, and high-quality content for different communication platforms.

Key Responsibilities

- Write and develop content for websites, blogs, social media, advertisements, brochures, reports, and digital campaigns.
- Research and write technical, scientific, and industry-related articles and news content.
- Develop creative and engaging copy based on client briefs and campaign requirements.
- Verify facts, conduct in-depth research, and ensure content accuracy.
- Edit, proofread, and refine content while maintaining quality and consistency.
- Create SEO-friendly content for websites and digital platforms.
- Coordinate with creative, design, PR, and client servicing teams.
- Handle multiple writing assignments and meet strict deadlines.

Candidate Requirements





- Minimum 2 years of professional experience in Content Writing, Journalism, or News Reporting.
- Preference will be given to candidates with experience in Technical / Scientific News Reporting or specialised journalism.
- Graduate/Postgraduate in Journalism, Mass Communication, English, or a relevant discipline.
- Excellent command of English and at least one vernacular language.
- Strong research, fact-checking, editing, proofreading, and storytelling skills.
- Working knowledge of SEO, digital content, and social media platforms.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple assignments.
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach.

Important – Job Location & Accommodation This is a full-time, on-site position based in Kharagpur, West Bengal.

Candidates must be willing to relocate to Kharagpur and work from the company's designated work location. Relocation is mandatory.
