Role Description The Consultant Gynaecologist will provide comprehensive obstetric and gynecological care, including outpatient consultations, inpatient management, and surgical procedures. Daily responsibilities include assessing patients, ordering and interpreting investigations, developing evidence-based treatment plans, performing deliveries and gynecological surgeries, and ensuring continuity of care. The role also involves counseling patients and families, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, maintaining accurate medical records, and adhering to clinical protocols and safety standards.

The Consultant will contribute to quality improvement initiatives, clinical audits,



and training of junior staff where applicable. This is a full-time, in office role based in Nidadavole.

Qualifications

- Recognized medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) and postgraduate qualification in Obstetrics and Gynecology (MD/MS/DNB or equivalent).
- Valid medical registration and licensure as required by local regulatory authorities.
- Proficiency in managing antenatal, intrapartum, and postnatal care, including normal and high-risk pregnancies.
- Competence in gynecological procedures and surgeries, such as hysterectomies, laparoscopic interventions, and management of reproductive health conditions.
- Strong diagnostic and clinical decision-making skills, with the ability to interpret laboratory and imaging results.
- Effective communication and counseling abilities for sensitive discussions related to reproductive health, fertility, and maternal care.
- Demonstrated commitment to patient safety, ethical practice, and evidence-based medicine.
- Ability to collaborate within multidisciplinary teams and work in a fast-paced clinical environment.
- Familiarity with electronic medical records and basic healthcare data systems; openness to working in data-informed care settings.
- Prior experience as a Consultant or Senior Registrar in Obstetrics and Gynecology is preferred.
