Summary

UST is looking for a skilled NX Customization Engineer / Senior NX Developer, based in Surat, India (work from office only), to develop, enhance, and maintain custom solutions within the Siemens NX environment. You will automate design processes, create custom applications, integrate NX with enterprise systems, and support engineering teams through innovative CAD automation solutions.

The Chance

- Develop and maintain custom applications using the Siemens NX Open API.
- Create automation tools, macros, and utilities to improve engineering productivity.
- Customize NX user interfaces, dialogs, menus, and workflows.
- Develop solutions using C#, VB.NET, C++, Java, and Python within NX.
- Work on CAD data extraction, model validation, and design automation.
- Integrate NX with enterprise applications such as Teamcenter, SAP, ERP, and PLM systems.
- Develop custom reporting and BOM extraction tools.
- Support migration and upgrade activities across NX versions.
- Debug and resolve issues related to NX customization and integrations.
- Collaborate with design, manufacturing, and PLM teams to gather requirements and implement solutions.
- Prepare technical documentation and user guides.
- Deliver solutions such as automated drawing generation tools, BOM extraction and validation utilities, NX-ERP/PLM integrations, design rule checking applications,



feature recognition and model validation tools, custom NX toolbars and menus, and engineering workflow automation.

What You Need

- 3–10 years of experience in Siemens NX customization and CAD automation.

Required Skills

- Strong experience in Siemens NX customization (NX Open).
- Proficiency in C#, VB.NET, C++, and Python.
- Experience with NX Open APIs, UI Styler / Block Styler, journaling, and NX CAD customization.
- Understanding of Teamcenter integration, Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), CAD data management, and BOM management.
- Knowledge of the software development lifecycle and version control tools.
- Mechanical engineering product development experience.
- Understanding of manufacturing and engineering design processes.
- Knowledge of CAD modeling and drafting standards.
- Exposure to Aerospace, Automotive, Industrial Equipment, or Heavy Engineering domains.

Desired Skills

- Java programming.
- NX CAM customization.
- Siemens NX certification.
- Experience working in Teamcenter environments.
- Knowledge of NX CAM, PMI, MBD, and Digital Manufacturing modules.
- Teamcenter ITK/SOA customization.
- SAP-PLM integration.
- CAD automation frameworks.
- AI/ML-based engineering automation solutions.
- Experience in Agile development methodology.

Qualification

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering,



Computer Science, or a related field.
