Role Description The Assistant Professor role is a full time, on-site position based at Thiagarajar College of Preceptors in Madurai South. The role involves delivering lectures, seminars, and tutorials, guiding student-teachers in coursework and practicum activities, and maintaining up-to-date knowledge in relevant subject areas.

The Assistant

Professor will design and update syllabi and lesson plans, assess student performance through assignments and examinations, and provide academic mentoring and support. The role also includes participating in academic committees, contributing to institutional development initiatives,

Qualifications

- Relevant postgraduate degree (e.g., M.A./M.Sc. with M.Ed.) in Education or a related discipline from a recognized university.
- Eligibility as per national or state regulatory bodies for teacher education (such as NCTE/UGC norms), where applicable.
- Demonstrated ability in classroom teaching, lesson planning, and student assessment at the higher education level.

- Effective communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a diverse academic environment.
