Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced SWIFT AMH Developer with a strong background in SWIFT messaging solutions, banking payment systems, and enterprise financial integrations. The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise in SWIFT Alliance Message Hub (AMH), SWIFT Alliance Gateway (SAG), ISO 20022, and CBPR+ initiatives.

The role involves designing, developing, configuring, implementing, and supporting SWIFT messaging solutions to facilitate seamless payment processing and financial communication. The candidate will work closely with business, operations, and technology teams to deliver robust payment solutions while ensuring adherence to banking standards and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, configure, implement, and maintain SWIFT Alliance Message Hub (AMH) and SWIFT Alliance Gateway (SAG) solutions.
- Analyse business and technical requirements for payment initiatives, including RTGS, CBPR+, and ISO 20022 migration projects.
- Configure, maintain, and support BCS, DCS, DOA, and CIR rules for inbound and outbound payment message processing.
- Develop and maintain message flows for customer accounts, payments, receipts, credit transfers, and other financial messaging requirements.
- Implement and support MT-to-MX message migration as part of ISO 20022 transformation initiatives.
- Configure current country rollouts, including message routing, BIC updates, Straight-Through Processing (STP), and workflow configurations.
- Perform end-to-end testing activities, including Unit Testing,



System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and Production Verification.
- Provide production support, investigate incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement effective resolutions.
- Prepare technical specifications, implementation plans, deployment documentation, and release-related deliverables.
- Execute production deployments in accordance with established change management and release management procedures.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, payment operations teams, and technical teams to ensure successful delivery of payment solutions.

- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in SWIFT messaging solutions and banking payment systems.
- Strong hands-on experience in SWIFT AMH and SAG configuration, development, and support.
- Practical experience in ISO 20022 migration and CBPR+ implementation initiatives.
- In-depth understanding of SWIFT MT and MX messaging standards and payment processing workflows.
- Experience in enterprise payment integrations and financial messaging platforms.
- Proven experience in production support, incident management, troubleshooting, deployment, and release management.
- Working knowledge of SQL, PL/SQL, Unix/Linux scripting, and automation.
- Experience working in Banking and Financial Services (BFSI) environments.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Experience working with global banking payment systems and large-scale financial messaging platforms.
- SWIFT-related certifications or ISO 20022 certifications will be an added advantage.

Ideal Candidate Profile
- Willingness to travel to Onshore (South Africa)
