Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Accountant role based in Phagwara. The Accountant will manage day-to-day bookkeeping, prepare and review financial statements, and support Canada tax filing for individual and corporate clients.

Responsibilities include maintaining accurate ledgers, reconciling accounts, processing invoices and payments, and assisting with month-end and year-end closing activities. The role also involves preparing tax returns, ensuring compliance with relevant tax regulations, and supporting advisory services by analyzing financial data and providing insights. The Accountant will collaborate with other team members,



communicate with clients regarding documentation and queries, and contribute to process improvements within the firm.

Qualifications

- Strong foundation in accounting principles, financial reporting, and ledger management.
- Experience with bookkeeping, account reconciliation, and month-end/year-end closing.
- Knowledge of Canada tax laws and compliance for individuals and businesses, or willingness to learn and specialize.
- Proficiency with accounting and tax software, as well as MS Excel and other office productivity tools.
- Attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work with numerical data accurately.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills for client interaction and team collaboration.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, manage deadlines, and work efficiently in an on-site office environment.
- Relevant academic background such as a degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., CPA or local equivalent) are an advantage.
- Prior experience in public accounting, tax preparation, or a similar role is preferred but not mandatory.
