The Art-X Company is hiring for their client 1838 by Time of India a Gallery and Artist Relations for their new vertical Art of India. We are looking for someone to own gallery and artist relations. Every work that hangs at Art of India comes through a relationship with an artist, an estate or a gallery.
For five editions those relationships have been rebuilt around one exhibition each year, and you make them permanent. You also take on the hardest question in the plan. Galleries have shown with Art of India for free, and the year-round business asks some of them to pay.
You make that worth it by offering something new rather than charging for what they have always had.
About Art of India by Times of India:
Art of India is where it begins. It is a profitable curated art business inside The Times of India Group, five editions old, with hundreds of collectors who already own work bought through it. They are now turning it into a year-round business, with a Head in place and a permanent gallery opening in The Times of India building in Mumbai.
Please Note:
1. The vetting process for this role comprises 2-3 rounds of interviews and may be followed by a brief assignment.
2. Festivals From India is hiring for this role on behalf of our client.
3.
This is an on-site, full-time position based in Mumbai.
4. Salary band for this role is available upon request.

- Strong organisational skills and proficiency in maintaining databases, artwork records and consignment documentation.
Essential Experience:
- 4–8 years of relevant experience in a gallery, auction house, art foundation, art fair or curatorial practice. A solid professional profile and relevant industry exposure will be prioritised over years of experience alone.

- Demonstrated experience in artist management, consignment negotiations and working with galleries as partners.
- Proven ability to negotiate pricing, terms and consignment timelines while maintaining strong, long-term professional relationships.
