Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Press Tool Design Engineer with expertise in sheet metal tooling and press tool design. The candidate will be responsible for developing tool designs, strip layouts, die face layouts, and tool assemblies using CAD software while ensuring design accuracy and manufacturability.

Roles & Responsibilities
Design press tools, progressive dies, and sheet metal tooling as per customer requirements.
Prepare strip layouts, die face layouts, 2D drawings, and 3D tool assemblies.
Develop detailed tool designs considering manufacturing feasibility and production requirements.
Work on blanking, piercing, bending, forming, and other sheet metal operations.
Select suitable tool components, materials, and clearances for press tool design.
Coordinate with manufacturing, production,



and tool room teams for design implementation.
Review designs and resolve technical issues during tool manufacturing and tryout.
Modify existing tool designs based on customer feedback and engineering changes.
Ensure design accuracy, quality, and timely completion of projects.

Required Skills
Solid knowledge of press tool design and sheet metal components.
Experience in strip layout development and progressive die design.
Knowledge of press tool manufacturing processes and tool room practices.
Hands-on experience with Cimatron, AutoCAD, or SolidWorks.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
Positive problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.

Preferred Candidate Profile
3–6 years of relevant experience in press tool design.
Experience working with press tool manufacturing companies.
Practical knowledge of sheet metal tooling, die development, and tool assembly.
Cimatron software experience will be an added advantage.

Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹90,000.00 per month
