Job Title: Centreless Grinding Operator

Experience: 5–10 Years

Qualification: ITI / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent technical qualification.

Job Location: Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu

Job Responsibilities
Operate centreless grinding machines for precision grinding of metal components.
Set up grinding machines according to component drawings and production requirements.
Adjust grinding wheel, regulating wheel, work-rest blade and machine parameters as required.
Perform through-feed and in-feed grinding operations.
Read and interpret engineering drawings, dimensions and tolerance specifications.
Maintain required component diameter, roundness, straightness and surface finish.
Select suitable grinding wheels and perform dressing and truing operations as required.
Inspect components using micrometers, Vernier calipers, dial gauges and other precision measuring instruments.
Monitor grinding wheel wear and adjust machine settings to maintain dimensional accuracy.
Identify grinding defects and take corrective action to minimise rejection and rework.
Maintain production output and meet quality and delivery targets.




Perform routine machine checks and maintain proper housekeeping and safety standards.
Record production quantities, inspection results and rejection details.
Coordinate with Quality and Production teams to resolve machining and dimensional issues.

Required Skills
Hands-on experience in centreless grinding operations.
Knowledge of grinding machine setup and parameter adjustment.
Understanding of engineering drawings, tolerances and surface finish requirements.
Knowledge of grinding wheel selection, dressing and truing.
Experience with precision measuring instruments.
Ability to troubleshoot grinding defects and maintain consistent quality.
Knowledge of 5S and workplace safety practices.

Salary & Perks
Expected salary: ₹28,000–₹33,000 per month.
Salary negotiable based on setting skills and precision-grinding experience.
OT, shift allowance and other benefits as per company policy.

Pay: ₹22,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
