Standards and Code Compliance
Ensure panel board designs meet international and national safety codes (such as IEC, IEEE, or NEC/local electrical acts).
Review short-circuit capacity, voltage drop, and selectivity coordination.
Design and Engineering
Create single-line diagrams (SLDs), schematic layouts, and wiring blueprints using CAD software (such as AutoCAD Electrical or EPLAN).
Size and select protective devices—such as MCBs (Miniature Circuit Breakers), MCCBs (Molded Case Circuit Breakers), RCDs/RCCBs, and surge protection devices (SPDs)—based on load calculations.
Design bus bar ratings, neutral/ground bonding configurations, and enclosure specifications (e.g., NEMA 1 for indoor or NEMA 3R/4 for outdoor use).
Prepare Bill of Materials (BOM) and technical data sheets.
