Role Description

This is a full time, on-site Bakery Chef role based in Kochi. The Bakery Chef prepares a variety of baked goods such as breads, pastries, cakes, cookies, and specialty items according to established recipes and quality standards. Daily responsibilities include mixing and baking doughs and batters, decorating and finishing products, monitoring ingredient inventory, and ensuring proper storage and rotation. The role involves maintaining a clean and organized kitchen, following food safety and hygiene regulations,



and coordinating with the front-of-house team to meet customer demand. The Bakery Chef also assists in menu development, testing recent recipes, and supporting junior kitchen staff through guidance and training.

Qualifications
Strong skills in baking, pastry preparation, and cake decorating, with attention to detail and product consistency.
Knowledge of food safety standards, kitchen hygiene practices, and proper handling and storage of ingredients.
Ability to manage time, plan production schedules, and work efficiently in a quick-paced, high-volume workplace.
Collaborative mindset with good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team-oriented kitchen.
Previous experience as a baker, pastry chef, or in a professional bakery setting; formal culinary or baking training is an advantage.
Willingness to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as required by bakery operations.
Physical ability to stand for extended periods and handle routine kitchen tasks such as lifting ingredients and equipment safely.
