Job Purpose:

To operate, monitor, and maintain Diesel Generator (DG) sets safely and efficiently, ensuring uninterrupted power supply and proper functioning of DG equipment.

Key Responsibilities
Operate and monitor DG sets as per company SOP and operational requirements.
Check DG parameters such as voltage, current, frequency, oil pressure, coolant temperature, and fuel level.
Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance of DG sets.
Check diesel, engine oil, coolant, batteries, and other essential components.
Maintain DG logbooks, running hours, diesel consumption, and maintenance records.
Monitor DG synchronization and load sharing, where applicable.
Coordinate with the electrical and maintenance team during breakdowns and troubleshooting.
Identify abnormal noise, vibration,



overheating, leakage, and other faults.
Ensure proper functioning of AMF/ATS panels and associated electrical systems, where applicable.
Follow electrical safety procedures, PPE requirements, and lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures.
Maintain housekeeping in the DG room and ensure compliance with fire and safety requirements.
Report faults, breakdowns, and abnormal operating conditions to the supervisor.
