We are looking for a Lab Technician to support quality control activities for bitumen and bitumen emulsion manufacturing

Role & responsibilities
Sampling of raw materials, in-process materials and finished products
Routine testing of bitumen and bitumen emulsions
Penetration, softening point, viscosity, ductility, density/specific gravity and other applicable tests
Emulsion testing including residue, sieve test, storage stability, particle charge and demulsibility
Maintain batch-wise QC records and laboratory registers
Compare results against product specifications and report deviations
Assist with COA preparation and external laboratory testing
Maintain laboratory equipment and calibration records
Follow laboratory and hot-bitumen safety procedures

Preferred candidate profile

Diploma/B.Sc. Chemistry, Chemical Technology, Civil Engineering or related field.

Preferred:
Experience in bitumen, asphalt, petroleum products, construction chemicals or material testing.
